FAQ
When is the best time to get your spray tan? Two days before a big event such as a wedding, party, date, etc is the most ideal time to have your tanning appointment, however, due to the variety of solutions, and skin prep options that LMLA has available, anytime 1-2 days prior is ideal.

How should I prep my skin before my appointment for the best results? Begin exfoliating 2-3 days before your appointment paying special attention to areas that often get missed such as neck, elbows and chest. Keep your skin hydrated inside and out and moisturize after an exfoliating shower or bath, as well as making sure to drink enough water daily.
Can I book a wax or massage the same day as my spray tan appointment? Book all massages and waxing for at least 24 hours prior to your spray tan (48hrs or more is ideal) because all of those oils, waxes and lotions can block the absorption of your tan! Nails can be done same day prior to tanning as long as no lotion is used or it is washed off prior to tanning.
The day of your appointment: You want your skin to be as clean and free of product as possible. You would be surprised how much residue our razors and our hair conditioner leaves behind ladies! • Exfoliate, shave and wash twice with a mild body wash at least a few hours before your appointment and rinse with cool water.
• TIP: rinse hair conditioner out of your hair upside down before a tan to keep your back and shoulders from having any residue)
• Do not apply any moisturizer, deodorant, antiperspirant, perfume or cologne the day of your spray tan appointment.
• Wear or bring loose, dark, comfy and NON LINTY clothes.
• Bring a pair of flip flops so you don’t smudge your feel trying to put shoes back on!
• DO NOT work out, get sweaty, or wet until after your water rinse or first shower. (timing will be discussed with your technician).

What can I do to help my tan last longer and keep my skin looking great? Using mild products in a gentle manner, blotting dry after showering or sweating, moisturizing and staying hydrated, and using a tan extender lotion and/or other products formulated specifically for your tan are all things you can do to help increase your tans longevity.
